A WARM CUP AND A WATERCOLOR

 INTRODUCTION:

Some days feel made for silence and stillness — and today was one of those peaceful days. I made myself a warm cup of tea, sat by the window, and let my thoughts wander into colors and calm.

With my watercolor brush in hand, I started painting a scene that has lived in my imagination for a long time: a quiet lake, surrounded by soft trees, with a small yellow boat resting near the edge. The entire process felt like a deep breath — slow, gentle, and freeing.

As the colors began to blend on the page, I found myself relaxing more with each brushstroke. Watercolor has a way of teaching patience. You have to let the paint flow, wait for it to dry, and embrace the little imperfections that make it unique.

Painting this landscape reminded me how peaceful simple moments can be — especially when they’re paired with something as comforting as tea. ☕️🎨
